Parents should not assume that just because they’re parents they have the right to treat their children anyway they want. There are some parents who think that they deserve their child’s respect because they are the ones feeding them. But it does not work out that way because children have their own thoughts and feelings. For this reason, parents should gain the respect of their children and teach them how to respect other people as well.

Tone of your voice

You may not know it but the tone of your voice speaks louder than words when you are speaking with a child. It is not so much what you say but how you say it that counts when you are dealing with a child.

Words you use

The words that you use convey what you feel. Choose your words wisely; don’t swear and don’t curse in front of your children because they may develop this bad habit. In addition, choosing the right words to convey an accurate message will enable them to develop great language skills.

 Body language

Since children are relatively primitive beings, they need to be taught the kinds of mannerisms that are acceptable to society. Be a good example to your child by being polite and treating your acquaintances with respect.
