Raising your children the right way!
In today’s times, everyone hates germs. It is no wonder that a lot of parents take great care in ensuring that their children live in a happy and healthy environment. But one thing to keep in mind is that it is almost impossible to keep your child clean all the time and in fact, you don’t have to. So here are some things you can slack on even though it won’t hurt the child one bit:
Cleaning your hands with baby wipes – most mothers want to wash their hands with soap and water after handing a dirty item. But using wet wipes that are alcohol based can work just as well.
Giving your child something that has fallen – whether it is a pacifier, a cookie, or a bottle, giving your child something that has already fallen to the ground is not that harmful. In fact, it is not riskier than when something falls to the counter. Of course, there are exceptions especially when it has fallen to a wet floor surface.
Not bathing everyday – most kids are “over-bathed” because parents have the need to keep them clean all the time so most children suffer from dry skin problems because of the frequent bathing.
Being a parent can be challenging, so on my blog TodaysParent I hope that I will be able to provide some parenting insights from one parent to another.
