Although most parents take it for granted, there are actually various hazards that can be found in the home. Toys, sweatshirts, and even sunglasses can pose a direct threat to your kid because most kids don’t realize the dangers of these items. For example, sweatshirts can pose a choking hazard when kids don’t know how to remove the garment properly.

Meanwhile, toys and sunglasses may have a high level of lead content which exposes the kid to lead poisoning. This is particularly true for children below the age of five because they have the tendency to put these items into their mouths. It is not surprising then that there are various initiatives from the government to order “product recalls” from the manufacturers.
